Our Favourite Day out in South Devon

Last Summer we discovered a couple of new family attractions that we had never visted before, I had heard of World of Country Life but as I didn't think it would be much different to Pennywell Farm, which is more local to us.

After our first visit last year Matt and I wee really impressed with World of Country Life. It was so much bigger than we had imagined and there was so much to do. There are plenty of Animals but for me there needs to be more than just Animals. There needs to be fun things for the kids and things that parents can join in with too. This is exactly what World of Country Life provides... all round family fun!

We visited again over Easter, we took part in a fun Easter Trail, we had a picnic, we walked a Goat, we saw some amazing Birds, and we played on the funnest Adventure Pirate Ship i've ever seen!

This year World of Country Life had something new and exciting,  Bouncy Pillows! I think Matt and I love these even more than the kids!

The best thing about World Of Country Life is that you can spend the whole day there and still have plenty to do. There is Soft Play and Bouncy Castles for younger visitors, plenty of running space and outdoor activities such as climbing frames, swings and see-saws, go-karts, Trampolines, Adventure Play Pirate Ship, Amazing Birds of Prey shows, Goat Walking, Duck Racing, Animal feeding and petting, the amazing Deer Train which allows you to get close to the Deers and even feed them. There is an indoor museum area where you can see extraordinary Farming and agricultural machinery operating! You can take a walk down the Victorian street and do some window shopping in the dress shop, iron-mongers, you can even take a look inside the Victorian Pub. There is a Victorian cottage you can go inside and explore, my girls were fascinated with this and loved learning about the things Victorians used.

For anybody visiting South Devon with children this place is definitely one to visit. You won't be      disappointed. My children are already looking forward to their next visit in the Summer Holidays!

  6. Oh that looks so fun! It's good to see kids interested in a bit of history :) When I was about seven I went to a museum and was really fascinated with this wall of Victorian-era home gadgets.
