How to find the perfect Gifts for Family

Have you ever sat down and thought about how many gifts you buy for family members each year? Probably not, who has time to do that?!
With 3 children of my own, a partner and his family, my parents and sister, 3 Nephews and 1 Niece, I feel like i am forever choosing gifts, and it's not easy!

I've never really thought about it until now, I realised when i was buying Easter eggs for mine and Matts family a few weeks ago, that i probably spend quite a bit of time searching for perfect gifts for theirs Birthdays, and then again at Christmas.

I do really enjoy choosing presents for family, but for some people it can be very stressful and difficult to know where to start. Especially if you are the one responsible for searching for the perfect Mother's Day gift or Valentines day gifts as well as Birthday and Christmas presents.
I particularly find it difficult to know what toys to buy for my 3 little nephews, mostly because they already have so many toys and they are always changing their minds about what their favourite characters are.

Here are some suggestions that could make gift choosing a little easier for Birthdays or other special occasions.

Gift Vouchers

Depending on who you are choosing a gift for, obviously it wouldn't be a great choice for a young child, but teens and adults love receiving gift vouchers. It doesn't have to be for a particular shop, maybe a voucher for a restaurant or the cinema. Gift Vouchers can be purchased from your local supermarket, there is usually a lot of choice too! I find my sister very difficult to buy for, i've chosen gift vouchers for her Birthdays many times, once for the cinema, once for a restaurant, and once i even booked to have massages for us both, it was really nice and she loved it!

Online Shopping/Catalogue

There's so much more choice when choosing gifts online, and you can save money! You don't need to pay extra for delivery either, most stores offer a free click and collect service! It's also really useful to pick up Cataloges from different stores, such as Argos. Then you can look though the catalogue for ideas whenever you have a family birthday coming up!

My dad is the hardest person to buy for, and next week he will be celebrating his 70th Birthday! I wanted to get him more than the usual bar of Chocolate and Whisky, so i decided to get him something more "useful" as this is what he always tells me he likes, useful presents!! My dad loves to visit new places so I have decided to pay for a National Trust Membership for him! I'm hoping he will use it a lot and get to see some really lovely places!

Do you enjoy shopping for family birthdays/occasions? How do you come up with ideas? I'd love to hear your thoughts so please comment! :-)
