Tips on how to help stop your kids from Vaping

Stop Your Kids From Vaping Today!

When you have a child, your entire life changes. You are responsible for another human being, and every decision that you make has an impact on the person that you are raising. Many parents make big life decisions when they have children; for example, it gives many the motivation they need to stop smoking. In some cases, vaping is a good bridge between smoking and not smoking.

Becoming a parent and losing the cigarettes all at once is often overwhelming. People may be tired and stressed. It can be hard to learn what you need to know to get the most out of vaping. If that is the case, this article can help. It provides easy to understand information on how to vape and be a parent at the same time.

1. Put Your Supplies Away

Most people realize that they need to keep their e cigarette suppliesout of the reach of a child. But understanding that and doing that are two different things. Your vaping supplies are important to you. It is easy to forget that you have something out on the table in preparation for your vaping session or that you set everything down on the counter when you came inside. Regardless of your child's disposition, it is natural for them to be curious about something their parent is doing. Find a good place to store your vaping materials and keep them there ALL the time so that putting them in place becomes a habit.

Your child can get very sick if they try out your vaping supplies. It isn't good for them and it isn't good for you as a parent.

2. Open Up Lines Of Communication

No child should ever vape. Make sure you tell them this in no uncertain terms. Let them know that your vaping supplies are yours and yours alone, and your child should not touch your things. Saying this just once isn't enough. You need to press the point so that your child is very clear what their boundaries should be.

It is often best to vape by yourself, so that your child doesn't see you. If they watch you vaping, they likely will want to imitate what you are doing. If they don't see you, they may not repeat your behavior during their lifetime.

In addition, it is important to explain to your child why you vape. Let them know that you aren't doing this for fun; you are doing it because you were addicted to cigarettes, which are very harmful for your health. Also let them know that you stopped smoking because you didn't want them to be exposed to second hand smoke. Make sure they understand that you stopped smoking because you want to be healthy and that vaping is helping you accomplish that goal and leave your cigarettes behind for good.

3. Save Money

Smoking costs a lot of money. Do something productive and visible with the money you are saving by not smoking. Figure out the amount that you are saving per week first. Then, put that money into a jar each week, so the entire family can see it. At the end of the year, take it out and count it together, as a family. Vote on what you want to do with it; a few ideas are to take a family vacation or do something fun together as a family. This sends a few strong messages to your child. First, it shows them how much money they would waste by smoking. Second, it shows them why you stopped in the first place. You put your family first.

 4. Don't Make It Cool

Vaping products are tempting. They have cool designs and the technology itself is interesting. However, make it clear that what you are doing is not cool. Vaping is helping you accomplish a goal that you have set for yourself and that is it.
