How to throw a fun Princess Party for your Daughter

Maybe it’s your daughter’s birthday, or you feel she’s achieved something great. How do you celebrate? There are a number of things you could do for her, but one there’s one thing I know my kids love: princess parties! Here are my tips on what to do to throw a fun princess party. I hope you love them!

To Surprise or Not to Surprise?

Decide whether or not this party should be a surprise. If you want it to be a surprise, I recommend you only tell the parents about the party so none of your daughter’s friends give the game away. If it isn’t a surprise, then you can send your daughter into school with her invites!

Send Invites Out ASAP

Send out invites as early on as possible so you can get a definite idea of who’s coming and who isn’t. This will allow you to sort the food and any other arrangements you need to make. Make sure you include important information on the invites, like what everybody should wear.
Arrange Costumes

Arrange your daughter’s princess costume by checking out sites like http://justpretendkids.com/princess-dresses.html. You’ll want a dress, a tiara, and maybe some shoes. I’d also decide how you’re going to do her hair in advance so you can practice! Painting her nails is optional but might make her feel extra special.

Arrange Entertainment

You don’t necessarily need to pay for entertainment. You might want to get an Elsa impersonator for an hour or two, or you could come up with some games. Children will always make their own fun anyway, so entertainment probably isn’t necessary. Just make sure you create a playlist at least!

Source Decorations

Whether you’ve hired a hall or are having this party at your home, decorations will set the scene. Source appropriate decorations and consider making some yourself if you feel crafty. The more you can make the place look like a castle or a princesses house, the more exciting the party will be. The kids will love make believing that they are real princesses!

Make the Food

Kids will more than likely get hungry and need to be fed, so make sure you have enough food for them. That being said, they might be too excited to eat much at all so don’t buy too much. They should all be fine with a sandwich, crisps and a cake. Try to make the food princess themed if possible.

Above all, try not to stress too much. It doesn’t matter if everything isn’t perfect - kids are usually easily pleased! If you feel stressed, your daughter will pick up on it and might not have a great time. Little girls will be happy simply dressed up as a princess with no decorations or entertainment, so spending a fortune isn’t required either!

I hope you love this guide and use it to throw the best princess party for your own little princess. Let me know how it went. I’d love to hear from you!
